Classic drag car hauler

Hello, I recently came onto a good deal on a 1965 ford short box. I have put a rebuilt 352 backed by a C6 automatic in it. I am looking to give it the look of a pickup that was used in the early days of drag racing for hauling drag cars around. I have a 67 mustang that I want to use the pickup for pulling around to races and shows with to add to the classic speed appearance of the setup. Any suggestions on paint style, lettering, interior, mechanical, or anything else just shoot me suggestions.
