Re: Vinyl roof
Never seen one myself, but if I'm remembering correctly, in the 1971 sales brochure there was an option listed of a black textured painted roof? Has anyone even seen THAT?
Regardless, vinyl is at the least a unique option, if it's factory! Pretty cool!

Ford offered simulated vinyl tops in the form of textured paint and not actually vinyl fabric. If it has vinyl fabric glued to the roof, it is not factory.

I remember those "Spray on vinyl" roofs I didn't know ford offered them as an option. I wonder if bed liner could be used as an alternative. Would help provide a little more insulation and noise supressionandBobbyFord wrote:Ford offered simulated vinyl tops in the form of textured paint and not actually vinyl fabric. It is legit vinyl. The fire department said they bought it like that new. Must have been a dealer add on.
