i stole the first picture from Thundercat6870. sorry .
i have these shackles on my truck. is it possible to take them off and replace them with a regular shackle like the one in the second link?
If you replace the springs as well. The spring setup used with the Flex-o-matic shackles are a different length than those used with the regular shackles. But why would you want to?

Fab up some of your own hangers or use the ones your talking about but call up Deaver springs if your interested in cost effective travel and not 3 or 4 linking. Just a thought, Deavers work fine as long as your not towing anything.
Just try and remove a couple of leafs from the rear, its too stiff and when you land with softer springs the compression damping in the shocks will help keep the bounce down as will lower tire pressure.Make sure you retorque the rear spring U bolts ,I think its 75lbs.
