Please allow me to introduce myself...
Hello all. Been perusing this place the last few weeks as a guest, thought I'd join up. I just bought a 67 F100 project - good body, decent interior, no engine/trans. The previous owner was trying to get it ready for putting in a 302/C-4, but lost interest (actually, his son lost interest). Good thing, since he was planning to use the original FE mounts... (I already learned about the correct motor mount perches from this site!) I have a good-running 400M/C-6 in a 74 Cougar XR7 that I'm going to swap in. Engine is dressed up, I put an Edelbrock intake and 750 carb on it along with aluminum valve covers. I think it should look fairly bitchin' in the lowered all-black pickup! I may or may not swap out the timing set on the 400 for a straight-up set (get rid of the 3 degrees of cam retard), it depends on how long the rest of the project takes.
As for me, I'm 55 years old (in a couple weeks), and in grad school pursuing a master's in electrical engineering, and school starts at the end of the month so all my time will be used up starting then. Also working full time for the Navy as a Nuclear Engineer. And have a Harley, and a full custom Yamaha Roadstar which is also a project since I can't leave well enough alone. Used to race stock cars, been a gearhead all my life. Thanks for letting me hang out in your house, here!
