My new project 67 Ford f100
Hello all. My name is Danny and I am new to FORDification. I have started a new project as a novice, It is a 67 ford f100 custom cab short bed. It is all original with a strait six. I was recomended to this sight from a friend I met while purchacing some original fenders for the truck. I live in Williamsburg Va and I am looking to restore the tuck as much as possible but give it a oldschool look. I'm just looking for some other guys that like to tinker around and mabe get some advice from. thanks and Hello all.

Re: My new project 67 Ford f100
Welcome from another new member. I'm right down the highway from you in Norfolk and I just purchased a 67 s/b 2wd with an inline 6/3 on the tree. You can check out some pics I posted in my original post titled "Help" here in the Welcome Mat forum. Got any pics you can share? I'm going to be using my truck as a daily driver since I only do short, local trips around town and to work most of the time. How about you? Not sure if I can be of much help to you, but this site has been invaluable to me already after just a couple weeks. Hope to see more from you soon.

Re: My new project 67 Ford f100
Cluereaper: I will be posting pics in a few days. I'm currently putting in new floor pans. I pulled up the floor mats and found a lot of rust. I plan on doing a lot of work to mine over the winter and painting it after the spring. I found original fenders in perfect shape and a good hood I can work with in Oklahoma while I was home on leave. Mine is also a strait 6 but I'm looking for a intake that will hold a 2 barrel carb for it. There is a kit but man is it costly. Also I plan on putting a crown vic front end under mine for the disk brakes and the power strearing. Anyways let me know if you come across any extra parts and I will do the same for you. Here is my number. 254-423-0325

Re: My new project 67 Ford f100
Good luck in your search Danny, I hope you find the items you're looking for. Regarding the brakes, I've done some research and found that you can replace spindles and hubs from different F series trucks that were originally equipped with front disc brakes and that may be a cheaper, less involved option. Same for the power steering being a swap out with other F series chassis from various years. Check the tech tutorials and other forums here, they have been a great source of help and information to me so far. I have no plans to do anything serious any time soon In the future, I may make some of the changes you've already mentioned with steering and brakes, strictly for the differences it'll make in daily driving. Feel free to contact me if you wish. I'm new to the whole environment with regard to restoring/modification, but have turned a wrench a time or two in the past. I'll offer whatever assistance I can! 757 450 0238 is my number.
