Hey all,
I'm a newbie to this ford website, and have a semi-restored 1970 F100 302. It has the original wheels on it, which I'd like to get blasted and painted. Also what I suspect are the original hubcaps also were on it, worse for wear. I thought maybe those could get blasted and painted, but am not familiar with the right and wrongs of blasting different metals and what works best.
If the hubcaps that were on it are not salvageable (it wouldn't really hurt my feelings, but at this point could be more cost affective) I'd like to get some type of center cap. I've looked at baby moons and while they are classic and nice, I wanted something a bit more...rugged? How would I go about searching for a cap that would fit those tires?
Thanks!

Re: Hubcaps / Center Caps Options
The one on my signature photo was the basic hubcap for the F100 wheels, and as an option they came chromed instead of painted. Folks on the site have them. I have two-and-a-half sets: the originals with rust, this set from a Fordification member, and two chrome ones from a member.
I just have not gotten around to getting the other two chrome caps.
Search on the forum and you will see where members repainted various wheel covers, including the basic ones like mine.
You will also find discussions about the paint for the wheels themselves. "Corinthian White" was the standard, though on some of the old ad pix on the site it seems silver may have been used on the 70-72 models.
Good luck!
