Hi I'm Adam, I'm currently in college studding Auto Restoration. Luckily enough I have a 68' F-100 to practice my restoration skills on. In this college they teach me the entire vehicle. Example: we have a sheet metal lab where we learn to make finders or anything regarding metal. We also have a engines, drive-train, and chassis labs where we are taught how properly take apart down to nuts and bolts and put it back together correctly. There's also a paint restoration where we are taught what types of paints(and how they were applied) were used at the time the car was released. There's more! We have a woods lab for the old trucks that had wood beds. Lastly we have an assembly room where we learn the last part of a restoration and when you can start putting back together. Best of all it's a 4 year program, the only 4 year auto Restoration program in the nation. I am glad to be joining this forum and talking about old trucks.
