68' Grill

Ok so I just bought a 68' F-100 Ranger so it has alot of "chrome" what do I have to do to get the grill to really shine

It all depends on which grille you have. If you have the steel grille, then you would probably want to go get it chromed if it isnt already. If you have the aluminum grille, then there are methods to really shine it up, but you would need to strip the anodizing off of it first using an acid or oven cleaner type of chemical. Once you have it stripped, there are various ways to really get it to shine. Howerver, you will have to regularly polish it unless you get it clearcoated after. You can probably do a quick google search and find tutorials on how to stip anodizing and polish aluminum. I know others have mentioned methods here on this site as well.

So it all depends on which grille you have. The 67-69 trucks came with both steel and aluminum versions of grilles.
