Adjustable Push Rod

What is an adjustable push rod, and how can I tell if I do or don't have one? I need to know in order to replace my master cylinder and power booster.

There is a rod that sticks out of the back of your booster and connects to your brake pedal. Some can be adjusted in length, some can not. I would assume that is what they are asking about.

If you look up under your dash you can probably see if there is a nut and threads which would be in the adjstable rod.

The main thing to make sure is that the booster has the right legth rod so your pedal is in the right place. That is the purpose for the adustable rod.

However, it's also possible they're asking about the rod which extends from the master cylinder to the booster. Often these are adjustable, but just as often aren't. The adjustable kind are obviously better, and if you can get one, do so. Here's something scanned from the factory shop manual:
