I've got one that needs rebuilt and would rather swap it with a good one. I don't think I'm mechanically inclined enough to tackle rebuilding it myself.

Don't be afraid of this job, once you understand how it works, it's really quite straightforward. The tutorial on this website is all the info you need to get going, and really you should take apart the used one to clean and lube it before you install it anyways, which is basically the same activity as rebuilding it. The worst part of the job for me was pulling the steering wheel, honestly. You'll also appreciate the smooth shifting action of the rebuilt mechanism - an old sloppy one can be a pain in the ass.
