1967 f100 4x4 welcome home

I've just recently purchased a 67 f100 4x4 with a 352. I'm getting about 1200 miles per gallon (of oil)...she leaks like a dawg. back of the intake manifold it appears. When I fix that would any one have any recommendations about fixing a little lifter ticking at the same time? Also I will need a/c Here in Phoenix, any advice???

Couple of choices on the A/C for our trucks: (1)Go new efficient 134A refrigerant or (2)Scrounge for all the used parts, (getting hard to find) and convert one of the existing used factory R-12 systems over to 134A refrigerant.
