The answer may be to remove the entire grille, but I wanted to know if any one has successfully removed only the Ranger insigna from a grille. I have a '69 with the red Ranger nameplate flopping around in it's "holder".
Any advice? Include tools used if possible.
Thanks
Bill

The housing does unbolt from behind. The problem is that they're usually a pita to remove. The stud gets messed up or breaks off.

re: Removing only Ranger insigna from grille
Couldn't get it off from the "nuts" at the back.
So I wiggled out the nameplate; drilled two small holes through the grille (sorry), then droped the nameplate back in with epoxy on the front, held it in place with dowels pushed through the new holes from the rear.
Red Green would have been proud, except for the lack of duct tape.
Cheers.
