tie rod ends

when i am trying to tighten then nut down onto the tie rod, the whole bolt turns. how do i tighten down the nut without the bolt turning?

clean the threads out real good. on both the stud and the nut. then before you start put pb blaster on the threads of both pieces. push the stud up into the hole as tight as you can. maybe even tap on the bottom of it to help seat the stud into the saddle. using a impact is the best way to get it on there to seat the stud the rest of the way in. it is a real pain to do it while the stud is spinning. while using a ratchet or end wrench. see what you can do. this may or may not work. an impact worked for me.
