Yep...just remove the Phillips-head screws you see around the perimeter of the instrument panel as you're looking at the front....four on top, four on bottom. (this is for the plastic panel...if you've got a metal panel, don't take the four middle screws out, as those are the ones which hold the gauge cluster to the back of the panel.) You might want to reach up under the dash and disconnect the speedometer cable and harness connector first though...often times they're not quite long enough to allow you to pull the instrument panel out far enough to get to them that way.

Unscrew the speedo cable and do the screws, you might get enough room to get in there without disconnecting anything, (expect scratches to your hand, a lot of edges up in there, or am I just careless???)

You might need to remove the glove box liner, and possibly the heater core box, to gain access to all the bolts.
When you do get all the nuts off, you may still have to pull on the dash pad to get it off. Being in the sun for over 30 years, these things tend to become 'glued' to the metal dash.
Here are some pics showing the location of the bolts. This is the dash pad from my '68, Frankie.

why are you taking it off. for a different one? or for a repair of some kind? the reason i ask is that my pad doesn't have any cracks but the speaker part is all rotted out. i have been thinking of a way to repair it but i'm not sure if i can find some sort of chrome trim to go all the way around the speaker hole so leaving the metal speaker hole open. maybe.

Be sure you get what it is you want. I have seen for sale both dash pads, which is what is in the truck from the factory, and dash COVERS, which is a piece of material you lay on top of the dash pad to dress it up.
Make sure of what you are ordering.
