lowering the f250 crewcab!

Post by gregamorton »

guys I was wondering if the king pins in my 71f250 are the same size as the f100 trucks. I have a new set of dream beams on a f100 that I have never finished and got to thinking about maybe using them on my crewcab. I am going to go out side and measure the rear leaf springs to see if they are the same width to use the rear lowering kit.

It looks like the springs are 2.25" on both my crewcab and my f100. My crewcab also has the smooth ride rear shackle and it looks to be a little over 2.75" just like my f100 also so my whole kit should work as long as the king pins are the same size!

The rear lowering shackles and hangers will work on the rear, Im not sure about the kingpin size though...

I found a post that states there is two sizes for the f250 but it does not go into detail about which or how to know. I know that mine is a 71 and it has drum brakes on the front rather than disk like most I have seen.
