New guy with a 72 f100
Hello guys I am new to the forum and just getting into the f100s. I am from nashville tn and my grandfather's 72 was given to me by my grandmother she was going to sell it but offered it to me before she sold it. My grandfather bought it brand new in 72 and then my uncle drove it after my grandfather passed away in 86. The past 3 years it sat in my grandmothers barn so it needs to be brung back to life. Its a black 72 with a 302 v8, I will upload pictures tonight when I get off work. I have been looking on the site for about a week now and I have to say its cool that there is a site dedicated to these trucks. Its odd because I was in the market for a 2006+ f150 and then i got a call from my grandmother last week about it and I went and trailered it to nashville from sparta tn. Plans for the truck is to lower it a little nothing to extreme even though the lowered trucks look good and I want some coys and new paint job. Looks like my uncle but a holly carb on it and new heads and it sounds like a small cam maybe on it. It also has longtube headers and full dual exhaust with mufflers. I am a mustang guy I got a 2003 cobra and had 3 mustangs before that but I have fallen in love with this truck. My grandfather passed away when I was 7 but I still remeber riding in this truck when I was little so its cool to have this truck any help on my journey to rebuild it would be appreciated what are good sites to get parts for these trucks?

Re: New guy with a 72 f100
Hi and welcome from Colorado! This forum has been invaluable to me in learing about my 72 F250. In regard to your question about parts, I of course look at Ebay, Craigslist, and most recently have discovered the treasures at my area "U-pull and pay" type junkyards. I've had some amazing luck at these places.
Good luck and look forward to the pics!

Hey another Tennessean! from choo-choo town!
Cool story on the truck, (seems like more and more generations are coming with trucks passed down)!
Here's the link to the vendors for our trucks:

Gotta' say NPD and DC are my favorite, good parts and good shipping to boot!
