drop the donor axle and radius arms all in one piece. remove the nut fromt he radius arm remove the axle pivot nut and botl then remove the upper sprign clamp and shock. as well as the brake line. it will all drop right out very easily.

Where are you located? I have a 77 f150 frame with a complete and good front disc brake set up, make an offer for the whole thing and you shopping is done!

might as well go to power steering if you don't have it while you got it all apart. You can get most of the parts from the donor truck as well.

I'm finally getting around to troubleshooting and fixing an incomplete disk install done by a shop that the PO used. Make sure you get the disk proportioning valve off the donor truck. Get the master cylinder as well, the drum brake master won't work. If your truck doesn't have power brakes, get the booster and bracket off the firewall. The booster might now do you any good, it will probably have a different rod assembly, but you can use it as a core. :2cents:

the drum master will work if you remove the residual vavle inside of the master feed line on the rear compartment. as long as the rear master is a larger than the front it will work that way.

I never figured out how that worked...I'm sure that's been my problem since I got my truck.

You can remove the residual valve on the disc brake side and leave the one on the drum side.
If one side is larger this should be the one for the front disc.
There's a pic under one of my post titled "master cylinder".
