here are some bad pictures of a dodge ram disc brake set up. will these fit and work on my D44 open knuckle? it is easy to get at . but i havent even looked at my axle pictures to see if it is even close.

Sure, those knuckles will bolt right up to any balljoint 44, but then you have the eeny weeny dodge 1/2 ton lug pattern in front.

Re: 4wd front disc
i think its the same bolt pattern i have now. unless that is the smaller dodge bolt pattern and then i wouldnt do it. because i dont want two spares. i will check before i pull them.

Looks right to me. The ones with the small bolt pattern didn't have locking hubs, I think.

Re: 4wd front disc
Why not just look up and get a newer Ford D44? I got a 76 or 77 I don't remember now... All Ford parts and easier to find replacement parts since it is a newer vehicle/axle.

Re: 4wd front disc
here is another picture of the drivers side hub it is a dana 44-8-f. the axle pumpkin sits to the passenger side instead of the drivers side.

Re: 4wd front disc
I have a set of 3/4 ton 8 lug axles from a highboy I bought a few years back. The Front is a Dana 44 with the big hubs and the rear is a dana 60 (I also have a Dana 70 DRW axle). I am in IL about 60 miles south of Chicago so its a drive but let me know if its something that could help you?? I need them gone because I dont have my project truck anymore and lost my storage spot for them. They are complete with lift blocks and springs, just need to be cleaned up from sitting.
