Body Mount Question

Post by mo-bronco »

Does anybody know if the front body mounts are available from any vendors? I've been looking, but can't find them. Mine are pretty rusted out on the end and I'd like to replace them. I'm trying to post a pic of the area, but I'm having trouble. Also, one of my front coils is messed up. If I head to a junk yard, are there any coils from any other trucks that will work?

Wish I could get the pic to load. I called it the wrong thing. I'm talking about the metal ears that stick out of the frame that the cab (and mounts) bolt to.

no you have to buy those from someone who will take them off a frame for you. or you can repair them by welding in a washer several guys have done that too. hang on i will go find where they did that at with pictures.

Great. Thanks. I hadn't thought about a washer or somthing like that. My father-in-law is a pretty good welder, I bet he could do it. I welded a little in high school, but that was in 1984! I'd like to get a welder, but I think I'd start out on something a little less important. Thanks again.
