Ok, i have a 68 f100, and basically im thinking of converting to disc brakes. i read this
http://www.fordification.com/tech/Ibeamsspindles.htm
But it kinda confused me, is this saying i can swap the beams and spindles from a 74-79 ford f100 and be done with it, just drop and swap, i dont have to keep my beams, remove kingpins, and swap the spindles? i appologise for my confusion in advanced, but would appreciate someone to clear this issue up for me
disc conversion,

Re: disc conversion,
this quote from above the kingpin size chart says it all. the i beam king pin sizes have to match the spindles and the i beams you plan to use.
"If you're using '75-'79 spindles, use '75-'79 I-beams and kingpins
If you're using '68-'74 spindles, use '68-'74 I-beams and kingpins
If you're using '67 I-beams, use '73-'74 spindles and kingpins. However, the round pin used for the bump stop in the '67 I-beam may need to be trimmed or modified, as needed. "

Our member Uboughtwhat got the beams and spindles from my 79' a few years back, don't know if he ever got the conversion done though?

Re: disc conversion,
As long as you get the I-beams, spindles and all of the other parts, you're correct, it's just a "drop-and-swap" conversion.
The only time the year model comes into play is when you want to re-use your original I-beams.
