'68 F250 CS brake hose trouble

Post by Helge71 »

In order to get my '68 F250 CS with original front disc brakes on the road i wanted to replace the porous old brake hoses with new ones. I ordered from LMC the brake hoses part No. 45-4416 and received them after a while. Now i wanted to install them and had to note that they are not only quite a bit shorter than the original hoses (but would be still o.k.) but also that the thread on the new hoses that should fit into the brake calipers is too small for the thread in the caliper :?
The part number on the brake hose package is the same as the one in the LMC catalogue, therefore i think they sent me the correct hoses...

Has anyone an idea why they do not fit and where i could buy some fitting ones? I really would like to get the truck back on the road again and these stupid hoses are all that is missing now.

Thanks

Helge
