Steering when turning to the left

Post by belair53 »

I turned into a parking lot and my steering made a clicking sound like the gearbox was stripped. The coupler is new. When I turn to the right the steering shaft seems to be screwing down onto the gearbox until it bottoms out but turning to the left it does fine. Any suggestions. :help: :hmm:

clicking sound? have a look at the pitman arm splines. if the box is bottoming out it could be the splines are slipping on the shaft.
