Water Outet Tree

Post by JMcTurnan »

So I wan't to use my Marine Holley on my engine because it gives it some power. But it doesn't have any vacuum secondaries. Someone told me I could use a water outlet tree thats attachted to your water outlet. Is that true, where could I get it?

Do you even know what vacuum secondaries are?

Do you know what MECHANICAL secondaries are?

Okay, let me try to decipher this. I think he's saying his marine carb doesn't have any vacuum ports for his vacuum advance.

Am I close?

vacuum secondaries arent to do with vacuum ports. that is all i know about that. the switch i posted is a ported vacuum switch meant to run with the dual vacuum advance distrbutors. with some other routings of vacuum hoses. i dotn have any pics. but if you look up a guy named 68-f250 or 68f250 (barry) and search his posts. he posted a vacuum diagram to use with this switch.

I know what you're saying Fordman, I'm just guessing that FM meant to say 'ports' instead of 'secondaries'. And apparently someone told him that valve you have there is another option for him. Obviously it's not, it's just a smog device that still relies on a vacuum port.
