Rear Shocks - Not the same 65-69 and 70-79

Any idea why?

That IS a good question.
I know the frame width was different on the 73-79's but I can't see how that would make much difference with the shocks.

The upper mounts are different. Early ones use the eye bolt and later ones have the stud.

F350's didn't change, they use the eye bolt.

Just wanted to make sure I got the right ones, my 72 has a 68 rear end (for now)
