Anybody know where to get the fitting that comes out of the intake for the heater hose?

I went to CarQuest today and they did not have it. I don't know how qualified he was to be looking. I called the dealership and the part was discontinued in 1999 and they didn't have any in stock. The dealership guy said if they did I wouldn't want it because it costs $329. I said, "Could you please repeat yourself, I think I heard you say $329." He said that was correct. So, I am really in a pickle here. I would like to just go buy it local so if anybody has any help I would appreciate it.

$329!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

here's one at Dallas Mustang http://www.dallasmustang.com/mustang-pa ... -ZINC/3382
Your not going to find it in a auto parts store. You'll need to find it used or at a aftermarket place like the Mustang places.
LMC truck parts has it./ part #43-0668
I'm sure NPD and Dennis Carpenter also have it.

NAPA used to stock them, should still have them on the books. AZ and Carquest are staffed by idiots for idiots...

I've never had that experience with Carquest. I know Autozone and Kragens are largely staffed by idiots, but that's okay by me, I use Autozone a lot since they have a good website, I look up what I need, print out my list and give it to the kid behind the counter. Nice and easy. I've made a decent amount of money off their rewards card too since I do as much repair work as I do.

ToughOldFord - I do the exact same thing. Autozone is close to my house so I buy things in small ~$20 intervals. I built up $100 of free money, I like that. As for the post by convicor, I missed it and saw the next stating CarQuest. I will try Napa, and then order one in my next LMC or DC order.

I just wanted to share the dealer's outragous price.
