Greetings:
What a great site! I found it looking for info on converting my split rims on my 1972 F350 dually. I searched and couldn't find a direct answer to what steel wheels I could use on the rears (as well as the fronts). Some one told me I had to be careful because of the beveled lug nuts and the pin. Ideas?
Thanks in advance. I'm still searching!

You need the coined one piece wheels. I found mine on an '80 F350. The coined wheel mounting surfaces look just like your coined splits.

If you use the flat faced ones from a newer truck they won't center properly because they are hub-centric.
From about.com
"Definition: A wheel that is centered or located on the hub by a machined center hole-as opposed to "lug centered" wheels that are located by the position of the lug nuts alone."
The coined wheels use acorn style nuts to center them. The coined wheels are hard to find. Ford only used them for '80 F350s as far as I know. I did some google searching. It seems Dodge used coined wheels too. That may help you find them.
One word of warning. There are tons of 16.5" one piece coined dually wheels out there. I accidentally bought a parts truck with 16.5s, but was lucky enough to trade them later for 16s. Avoid the 16.5" wheels. Tire sizes are very limited and hard to find.

1980 only? Crazy.
Thanks looks like I'm in search of 6 of those in 16". Makes much more sence with a visual, plus I pulled one of the wheels today.
Thanx!!
