the mighty jack that can ??

Post by thebannister8 »

i need a jack for my 67 f100...i want the stock one ...can that little guy really fit in there under a completely flat tire and then jack it up high enough to put a good tire on....that's alot of travel......i know they built it that way, but in reality does it really work... :hmm:

i think it will if you put it under the king bolt to jack it up.

i never thought about that. i planned on running a stock jack on my 69 when its done but now that i think about it, it will have pretty decent sized tires (31's, eventually 33's) so i dont think a stock jack would reach the rear end :?

I have 31's on my F100 and the stock jack does go high enough to change the front or back tire. They don't look like they would go high enough but they extend quite a bit.

an old trick when stuck some place . is to drive the bad tire up onto some blocks or whatever you can find to either get the jack under the axle and or if you have to put the blocks under the jack too.
