Rear brake line kit the same btwn bumps & dents?

Post by F100builder »

Hey guys. I will be installing my 3" DJM's, upgrading to discs, and flipping hangers this spring/summer and the donor parts came from '75 & '78 dents. I wanted to just order a full brake line kit from 'Inline Tubing' and wondered if the rear lines were the same and would be just a simple bolt-in operation. I know the front lines are completely different and I have the frame brackets, prop. valve, master cylinder, etc. for that install. The rear line should route the same (except for the connection to the prop. valve) in a bump and terminate at the same location before connecting to the hose above the rear end yes?

they should be the same unless the whole axle is wider. i don't have one to measure so i can't tell you.

Yeah, I'm positive the axle width is different but I'd probably just save that piece for when I swap the 9" I have that's from a dent. I'm removing the 4.10 geared Dana 60 in favor of the 3.50 geared Trac-Loc in the 9". A little friendlier on the freeway!
