pics of disc brake porportioning valve location
I need some pics of 73-79 f100 disc bake porportioning valve locations. I have the set-up off a 77 f100 and my porportioning is ontop of the ps box. What about the 78 or 79 were it is mounted on the frame?

the 78/79 is bolted to a bracket that bolts to the rear side of the engine crossmember. heres a pic of a 78/79 valve and bracket. it s kind of greasy though.

Re: pics of disc brake porportioning valve location
My bad my donor truck was a 76. Is there any differences? Is it better for the porpotioming vavle to be up top of the ps box or down low. The only reason Im messing with this is I decided to go rear disc bakes now to and Im swaping out my fabbed up lines and disc/drum valve for classic tube 76-77 brake line kit and a disc/disc valve

i think the only differences would be line length and accessability to the vavle, thats all i could think of. i don't think it has anything to do with gravity or pressure of the valve working right or wrong. the only thing i can think of is clearance for headers. would your lines or the valve be in a good or bad place if you had or wanted headers?

either way works fine. Im running shorties on my 351w and there should be any problem putting the porportioning valve down lower.
