i'm going to bleed my brakes tonight but as mentioned at http://fordification.com/forum/viewtopi ... highlight= I have no fluid in my m/c.
I'm assuming that before I unscrew the bleed screw (yes, I know the order in which to bleed each location), I need to fill the m/c with new brake fluid...
Is this correct?
There doesn't seem to be a leak @ the m/c or at any of the tires, but there could've been a leak a long time ago (sat for ~18 yrs).
Thanks guys.

fill your master cylinder full and leave cap on but disconnected to keep debris out. Lightly crack the bleeder valves on all wheel cylinders. Go out tomorrow morning and check your master cylinder and top off as needed, never let it run dry. When you get home from work that day, check the master cylinder again. Get a buddy over. Tighten all the bleeder valves except pass rear. Have buddy slowly push brake pedal 3-4 times almost all way to floorboard (never either completely touching floorboard or completely letting off either) and when you yell, he's supposed to hold the brake about 5/8ths of way compltely down. Tighten right rear bleeder screw and move to driver rear and do same, etc. Do this pumping with neither touching floorpan with brake pedal or letting completely off a serious of about 3 times moving around under vehicle and you'll likely have any residual air bled out. every so often be sure to check master, don't let it get dry!
If your master was ever dry, it needs to be bled first before you do anything. The easiest way for me to bleed master is to get some brake lines that'll fit it (junkyard) and cut them off and bend them over back INTO the master cylinder so they reach the bottom inside. Fill master. As brake pedal is pushed, it will bubble and the air bubbles will rise to top and bust, releasing any trapped air. some of that may be wrong, typing fast
