Door Windows

What is the problem when you have to push down on the top of the window to get it to roll down ? I don't need much more than just the weight of my hand. It will roll down without help (except for the last 3/4 of an inch) but it has to be "jacked" down. It started this Thursday.

there is a track that a roller slides on when the window is cranked up and down. it probably needs to be cleared out of gunk and lubed
