New guy from TX

Post by iiizman »

I am from Texas I am into fords and this is my 1st rebuild on a fe motor.
I am looking for an exploded view of the motor.
One thing I have learned is you have to take off alot of stuff to get the intake off.

Thanks

Welcome from Idaho! Good to have you here!

I don't know about the availability of any exploded views but my suggestion would be to get yourself a rebuild manual specific to Ford FE motors. Rebuilding a motor of any kind is much more than just disassembly and reassembly using new parts. A simple exploded view will not be all you need. There are also certain techniques and common practices used when rebuilding not to mention a certain amount of machine work depending on the condition of your core. Just my :2cents:

Surf around on amazon.com for some good deals on manuals. That's where I just got my FE manual as I'm about to take one on myself. I know small block Fords pretty well but this will be my first FE and big block as well.

Oh BTW, if you have more questions, try the engine category of the forum. There's lots of good info there.

:wel: to the site. Lot of good folks on here, you will get plenty of help.
I bought the book by Steve Christ on how to build a bigblock ford, it is very good book, it was published by HP books. this book is devoted to the fe engine.
