New to this site, although a life long Ford man, I've had 3 bumpsides previously as well as a 60 model flare side. several mustangs, although we had started a resto on the 69 fastback I had in high school, but the latest project has slowed that one. We are now working on my girlfriends father 68 styleside, He was the second owner, bought it back in the early 70's from a Ford dealer not to far from here. He passed away Jan of this year, and my girlfriend now has his truck. Since the truck is currently in pretty good shape, at least better than my mustang, we are going to resto it first, which won't take a ton of work I think. When looking over the truck I found the original owners manual with the original temp owners card, metal tag with vin, and original owners information stamped inside. The truck was originally sold at Tallahassee motors here in Florida. After looking over this site, I see a ton of info I wish I would have had on my other bumps. Look forward to chatting with you guys in the future.

Oh no, Linda loves working on the cars. She can't wait until the sheetmetal is replaced on the mustang so we can jump both feet off into it. But till then she wants to get her hands dirty with the bump side. She had it a few years ago, but when she and her last ex got a divorce she had to give it back to her dad, she had already bought a bunch of parts. We now have those, and since his passing she just wants to drive his truck, so we will be taking it back to the way it was then minus the dent and replacing the trim. Thanks for the warm words of welcome everyone, the enviroment here is certainly much more friendly than other forums I am in.
