Greetings from Missouri
Greetings all. I've been lurking a week or so in anticipation of purchasing my project truck and got that done last night. It's a 70 F100 Ranger XLT. 302, auto, AC, and all the goodies...and they all work!. Runs good, body decent. No significant rust and minor dents. Beltline trim is a little dinged, but not terribly. Tailgate is straight and latches easily. All the glass is good. Seat isn't even torn. 118,000 miles, bought from original owner. Has always had a shell on it so top of the bed rails are straight as new. I'm not planning on a total restoration, just a good thorough "slicking up". I've been bugging the guy to sell it to me for about 6 months but he was resisting until this past weekend. Something broke in the steering column that works the transmission linkage and I think he was convinced it was an insurmountable problem so he called me up.
I'm a lifelong Ford guy. I've owned 37 vehicles in my life and 35 of them have been Fords. (one Buick and one Jeep)
So...greetings...and I promise to get familiar with the search function and try not to ask too many redundant questions.

re: Greetings from Missouri
Well...pics are gonna be delayed a couple more days due to a bout with the flu. I haven't so much as coughed or sneezed all winter and now that it finally warms up, I get it. I told the guy I'd pick it up Fri or Sat.
I'm getting kinda excited about the project. In 05 I restored a 69 model, 19' runabout so I'm lookin forward to hooking a 70 Ford F100 to a 69 Formula F190. Only problem is the boat is powered by a Mercruiser 160...which translates to a 250 cu. in. inline 6........chevy
I haven't really studied the paint code on the truck, but from looking at color chips from that year, I'd say it is Yucatan Gold and White two-tone.
to my fellow Missourians who responded, I'm in central Mo., just west of Marshall.
Here's a little pic of the boat and my daily driver, an 02 Super Crew
