knocked down but on the way back up

Post by 1970F250 »

hey everyone im back! ive had some problems in the last year or so but every thing is starting to look better. im 19 now and i dont have my license anymore.... i moved out of my parents house the day i graduated high school (mistake) and i had a 1992 ford ranger for a little while but i sold it to pay it off. i quit my first job at mcdonalds to go to a new one that payed better but it turned out that it was just too far away and i was paying more in gas to drive there then i was making, so i quit (another mistake). the problem was that i quit right after all the seasonal jobs were already filled so i couldnt find work for a long time but now im back working at a differnt mcdonalds. im getting about 40 to 45 hours a week at $8 an hour and they are thinking about making me a manager 8) which will be $9 an hour. i moved back home and my old girls under a car port in the back yard till i can drive again in 7 months... but i only have to help pay the gas and electric so i have plenty of money to put into the truck. im planning on putting in some mastercraft seats and some other stuff.

ps i need a little help from the best group of people i know but i will post it in the general board. :fr:

welcome back man. i wondered where y'a'll went to. I dont mean to sound a little mean here but i would save up your money a bit to get back on your feet before spending it on the bump. i know they are adicting to work on, but i made the mistake in highschool of spenfing all my money on my 67 and not having enough for gas and all that. maybe settin some aside each paycheck or something

sorry it took so long for me to get back to ya. my computer blew up so i had to go buy a new one...

but yeah i have been trying to save some up but its been hard because im paying off a cell phone and a credit card. the cell is no big deal but the credit card sucks because i was slowly paying it off and then i got a letter that said one of my checks was late and i was like :bs:! so the interest rate went up from 0% to 18% and now i owe them $900!

and i lost my license on a night 4 months ago. me and and some people i work with were by my girlfriends grandmas house. me and my gf were going to stay there for the night. but my friend brought a 30 pack over so i had 2 and no one else drank any and my friend didnt want to take the rest home so i put it under a towel in the back of my truck. and the big problem here was: my friend was all down about not being able to get a girlfriend and his mom crashed his car and so on and so forth.... the people that drove him there wouldn't stop talking crap about him so i told him i would give him a ride home and we could talk about it. so he drove me in my truck to his house across town so that i would have some time for my bac to go down before i drove. i wasnt drunk or buzzed or anything just really really prone to getting pulled over. so we sat in front of his house for like half an hour talking about his problems and then i left. i went to get on the freeway and like 3 in the morning and didnt stop at the red light on a right turn and got pulled over.... the made me do all the field tests and i passed but the pulled out the breath thing and i failed it/ because i was under 21 anything over .000 ment that i failed it. they searched my truck found the 30 pack and made me pour it all out on the side of the road but they didnt right me up for posetion because i was being really cool about the whole thing and i didn't lie to them. oh and the towed my little 92 ranger and the impound yard guys stole all my knifes. gps unit, and stuff out of it..... needless to say i probably will never drink again.  :(

Welcome from Washington State...Never too late to start making good decisions! In the early 80's I got kicked out of college, got a DUI, had a nasty relationship and realized that it was time to start making better choices. Deal with it, overcome it, grow out of it.
