bump trim holes. mine are welded. how do i find them?

Post by 1971ford »

so my PO of the truck welded the holes shut since he didnt like the trim, and it has since been painted. how should i find the welded holes? he did a pretty good job of sanding them down to be unnoticable.

does it matter where i drill the holes?
i need the bump holes and the rocker holes back.

the only holes that woul dbe needed to be found are the one on the front of the fender where the spear comes together. the two on the outer edges of the doors. and the two at either end of the bed. the rest of the holes can be put where ever you want to put them they are for plastic clips anyway. your 71 should have similare holes. just look behine the fender and at the doors and the two bed holes. one in the front stake pocket and the other kind of behind the tail light in the tail light housing of the bed in the 69.

awesome thanks.
the only one i will have to get measurements from the 71 are the bed ends. cool.

and the rocker moldings should be all seen from the rear side.
thanks
