factory two tones....

Post by 1971ford »

2 questions.

on factory two tones, is the rear of the cab split down the middle horizontally like the rest of the truck? or did was the rear of the cab one color which returned to 2tone where one could see?

and, on a factory two tone paintjob, how did the rear of the bed work out? was the tailgate one color? or two (if two, where was it split?)

this isnt right is it? it looks cheesy.

i dont know about the back of the cab. but the tailgate is like that originally. some i have seen were split in the middle instead of like that. check out some of the factory brouchures to be sure of some stuff like this. they will have untouched pictures of true real stock stuff like hub caps and paint job pitures. also other important details.

Not sure on the bed. The back of the cab was solid (same color as interior) with the 2nd color going inwards only to the edge of the 1st indent.

If it was a factory two tone it should have a chrome moulding that goes around the back of the cab. Im looking for this moulding and clips for mine so i can two tone mine.

that upper cab molding would only be there if the roof was a different color than the top half of the body.

Ryan hope this helps. It may not be as close as what you were looking for but I think it is close enough to show the area you are talking about. If needed pm me and I will shoot a closer pic. This is one I had already downloaded. http://s237.photobucket.com/albums/ff10 ... CN1477.jpg
