what determines the interior color?

Post by 1971ford »

my 69 is exactly like this truck: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-F-1 ... enameZWDVW , except mine has skyview blue interior and a white roof. why does this one have white interior?
what determines the interior color on two tone paint jobs from factory? i thought it was the actuall color part like mine.

maybe the ebay truck's interior was painted white :?

In this picture it looks like there is some blue paint on the gas tank. There is a patch of blue under the sending unit.

If you look the door jambs are white with a tapeline transfer to blue, the truck was most likely all white from the factory

My dump truck used to be red (now blue) and it had a red tank. My yellow parts truck has a yellow tank and my sky blue truck has a blue tank :2cents:

The in cab tank I removed from my '68 CS was "Pebble Tan"
like the rest of the truck...
the interior appears to be the factory original color (according to the vin#)

That truck is also listed in craigslist, I posted the link to it a week or two ago. It's literally 10 minutes from my hometown in NJ. Next time I head home I could look at it for you guys...

I agree with Steve302, the truck was originally all white. I think on two-tone trucks the interior was the same color as the hood.

Hello,
if you look at the sideview pic of the engine you will see where they missed a huge area with the black spray can, the firewall was white. Also the cowl doodads other than that black plug are all painted blue indicating a repaint or 2 tome addition at one time. If you look close at this truck its a little rough, but still a nice truck.
