I have discovered that not having power steering is a benefit. I have a teen age daughter, and she drove it around the block once. She refuses to drive it now.
My wife drove it a few times and got winded in a parking lot, and now wont drive it either. Maybe I'll just spend money on better brakes. Anyone need a Saginaw pump with brackets for a 300?

I've got the same "armstrong" steering in my Ranchero and love it!
I've got all the pieces to make it power, (on the back burner for now).
Nice to get back in your truck and the seat in the same place you left it.

I have everything to convert to power too now. But I'm not in any hurry to do it. As long as there's air in the tires and you keep the truck rolling, the armstrong works fine.

On a similiar train of thought, I think that's one of the reasons I'm so partial to the power assist on F-250 4x4's. They can have a 1/2 turn of slop in the wheel and I'll set the toe in a little and drive it like it's a new truck. Anybody else gets in and they can't keep it on the road.
