CAB SWAP?

Post by 1968flareside »

I have a cab for sale in the parts forum. My question is about interchanging the cabs from year to year. I'm not talking about the doors but the cab itself.

Are the cabs so different from year to year?

the only real differences are the heater controls in the dash of the 67's. thats the only real differences that would matter. the location of the seat belt holes in the top rear of the cabs is the other difference. but they dont matter unless you are doing a perfect restoration.

Seems like I remember reading somewhere here on the forum, that the 4 X 4 and maybe the F-350's have different rear mount locations?

basketcase, you're correct, the F-250 4x4's and the F-350's have cab mounts outside the frame rails, whereas the rest of the trucks had the mounts on the outside of the frame :2cents:
