Interchangable doors?

I'm currently restoring a 1969 F-100 Ranger. The passenger door was a mess. I replaced the door off a 1967 F-100. I have a problem with trying to line the body line up. When I get the body line straight, the top of the door hits the top of the cab. I have it where the door will close, but the body line on the door is below the fender and the beds body line. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

line the door up with the cab. then line the fender up with the door. in that order. you may have to shim the core support to line up the fender.
