Greetings Everyone

Post by genevasm »

Greetings everybody! This is one heckuva site, the information available is outstanding and I appreciate the work that went into this site's development.

My name is Steve, I live in Pueblo West, CO and enjoy fishing and camping with my nine year old son Ryan. Driving home from work each day, I kept passing an old Ford truck for sale and decided one day to stop and take a look, the truck was pretty beat up (pictures coming) but there was something special about both the interior and exterior styling that really caught my eye. The "Camper Special" emblem also peaked my interest, so I did some internet research and came across this site. Make a long story short I bought the truck, a 1967 F-250 Camper Special for 350 bucks and my plan is to make this a father and son project.

Since that time, I have learned everything I possibly could about the truck and have acquired various factory and restoration manuals which have only charged me up more to get this project going. With the winter months coming up, I can't think of a better way of spending some quality time with my son stripping this old truck down for a frame up restoration.

Next is to somehow convince the wife what a great christmas present a new compressor would be, LOL.

Well anyway, that's my story and I hope everyone has had a great thanksgiving. :hi:
Best Regards,

Steve G.

Hiya Steve and welcome from California. Sounds like you have a lot of fun ahead of you.

Oh, and just tell the wife that the compressor will power the air tools to make work go by quicker. Thus, enabling you to spend more time helping her around the house. LOL!!!

Steve,

Welcome! We are glad you're here. Great story and I wish you and Ryan the best on your project.

As you are probably already aware, there is tons of information available on the site and lots of great folks on the forums, so pull up a chair and set awhile.

Welcome Steve,
You may be in a little bit of trouble now. From what I have come to understand, in the short time I have been a member of this site, if you buy a 67 AND have a son named Ryan, then before you know it your son has two trucks and is pregnant..... or something like that.
