Well, I believe I should have introduced myself before jumping ito the forums too far. I have been messing with old cars for about 35 years. Mostly Mopar and Ford. I didn't get too interested in the older Ford trucks until just recently. I own a automotive service company and we do restorations. Since I had never dealt with the older motor swaps in this series of Ford truck I thought that the members could give me a hand with their experience and I was right. You know the old saying, two heads are better than one. Thanks for the replies. It allowed me to look at the pros and cons for this series of Ford truck. So many modifications must be done in many Mopar applications its refreshing to see this series of Ford trucks so adaptable to so many different motor/tranny configurations without a lot of mods.
Also this site is far superior to the convuluted mess at Ford Truck Enthusiast. You can find what you are looking for here. Great site!
