disc brake lug swap question

Post by tybob81 »

What year disc brake rotors can I use to get the 5x4.5 bolt pattern. It was on here awhile back and I can't remember if it was a fairlane or mustang and what year. I know if you use a 73 and up torino you can have the 5x5. The rims I want are not offered in the big ford bolt pattern and I have a set of adapters but they cause them to stick out a wee bit to far.

Check out the later F100 pickups, after Ford came out with the F150. IIRC the last of the F100s had the 15 inch with the small pattern. Could be wrong but worth checking.

There are not any rotors that I am aware of that have 5x4.5 that will fit your spindle.

I an going to guess the 70s torino. They pretty much used the same caliper and pad system. Go to the junkyard and pull on, measure the spindle length. As long as that's close you can get the bearings with the id you need.
