New guy from St. Louis
Hello all! I just figured I'd stop in and introduce myself. I am just recently, as in a few hours ago, the proud (I hope) owner of a 1972 F100 shortbed that I plan on building into a low budget hot rod over the winter, and even though I've had lots of old cars and trucks, I've never modified much on the trucks. I'm sure this site will be a great asset in my build. In fact, I've already been making plans for the power steering and power brake install, and I don't even have my hands on the truck yet! Anyhow, here it is: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... :BCB:MT:11
Hopefully the floors and cab mounts are as good as they told me. I'll find out this weekend when I pick it up. I must say, this site has already been a great help for me. It's pretty danged awesome.

I just hope the extra parts fit the truck! I can already tell the door is for something else. Maybe I'll get lucky and there will be some power steering or power brake parts in it!two-bit wrote:Looks like a pretty good start for a rod truck.

I like that original metallic brown color too; I'll probably have the truck sprayed in that color again.69F110 wrote:Fomocoguy,
Nice truck! Love the rims. Interior is nice...I like that brown. Of course I like flat black too.
Welcome to the place! W're glad you're here and hope you hang around for a long, long time!

Thanks! I hope you're right; It looks as if I may have lost my help to go get the truck, so this saturday I may be riding my motorcycle 370 miles and loading it in the back so I can drive it home. U-haul won't rent me a tow dolly because they say the truck is too wide.ezernut9mm wrote:welcome abord from the good side of the state. . looks like a pretty good project you got there.

Welcome, Are you sure on the Uhaul thing they have a dolly for classic vehicles that is 77 inches wide. At least they did in Omaha.
