cab bolts

Post by OLE69F100 »

I am not sure if this is the place for this but. How do I remove the rear cab bolts, they are just spinning. There is not a nut on the under side like the fronts. Is the sleeve threaded or what. Thanks in advance.

Yes, it's a threaded sleeve. I'd soak things with PB Blaster as much as possible, and then see if you can grab the edge of the sleeve with a pair of ViceGrips, which should hold it while you spin the bolt out. Depending on how rusted the pieces are, you might find it easier to just cut the head of the bolt off (inside the cab) and drive it through....but use that method as a last resort.
