Fleetside repair
What is the best way to repair the rusted out seam down the side of a bump side ? National Parts Depot has a repair panel that seems to do away with the seam. Anyone tried this ?

Some photos would help, since we have no idea how rusted-out your seams are.
If they're bad, you might be better off just finding a different box. Otherwise, you can sandblast the seam to remove all the rust, and then weld the seams up. Seems (no pun intended) to me that welding up the seam would be a lot less work than trying to splice in an entire bedside.

Its a long bed, so boxes are easier to come by. Finding a good one has been my problem. Its a little hard to find one with less rust than mine that someone is welling to part with.

If you wanted to make a road trip, I have one without rust. Does have some previous body work, but not too bad looking. If nothing else, you could use it for patch panels. I can get some pics if you're interested.AODf100 wrote:Its a long bed, so boxes are easier to come by. Finding a good one has been my problem.
