Hood emblem

Post by shayne250 »

My son and I are restoring a 72 F250, it looks like it had an emblem in the middle of the hood between the O and R. Does anyone know what this emblem looks like? or does anyone have one for sale. Also, does anyone know what the original mirrors looked like?

There were a number of accessory hood emblems available. Shoot us a picture of the spot maybe we can help.

The mirrors, could have had several different kinds, little chrome sport mirrors of "West Coast". Again, lets see what the holes look like...

You might also want to peruse the factory literature.

The pic is too large to upload. For the mirror, it looks as though the original mirror came thru a single hole, dime size

Take a look here.

I don't think I have ever seen one with one dime sized hole.
