your only issue will be finding one without too much or any rust. the cabs were the same from 67-72, but if you want identical youll need 68-72 as the dash inside the 67 is slightly different.
find your donor cab, clean it up get it finished up with por15, and paint. remove everything from inside the cab, and off the firewall. unbolt, toss, put new one on, put everything back.
done. its not an easy project, but its been done many many times. good luck and keep us updated.

Hey 70highboychick
If ya don't have a cherry picker, four strappin' lads can lift one on and off for ya. It's probably safer and easier too.
It's a big job, but not to bad if you take yer time and have a place you can work on it at.
Like some of the guys have said finding a good cab may be a pain.
Not sure where you are at in CA, but pretty much anywhere in the central valley should be pretty easy to find a decent cab at a reasonable price.
Last summer I bought a '71 F-250 that came up out of LA...
It was nearly 100% rust free and I just gave the cab to one of the guys on the forum to get it off the frame so I can make myself a bump trailer.
Good luck...

re: cab switch
i have a complete 2wd 70 f250. that is the donor truck that most new body pieces that i am replacing, will come off of. with the cab though, the 2wd is an automatic. i know that some of these older model fords, the top of the doghouse unolts from the floor of the truck...is this the case with the 70 2wd? if so, it will make gettin my 4spd shift and tcase shifter through the floor alot easier,

Hey 70highboychick...
Yeah, the tranny cover just unbolts.
I'm not 100% positive, but I'm pretty sure the one from your 4x4 should bolt right in... (I've never hada 4x4)
One of the hardest things I ran into pulling the cab off of a '71 F-250 was disconnecting the e-brake cable from the mechanism inside...
I fought with it for about 45 minutes 'cause I couldn't get enough slack in the cable to get the end of it out...
Then it dawned on me to losen the adjusting cable underneath... then it came right out

That should be good... seriously... it's not that bad.
I think four guys work better than a cherry picker, 'cause they can each control a corner...
add a 5th person to give directions and get the bolts started and it should go pretty easy...
Can't wait to see the pics...
Right now, I can't get past the monkeys...
Good luck...
