To whom it may concern. The tech article listed under the Body / Paint section lists 2 procedures in centering the rear weels when there is a 3'rd option that is just as easy if possibly not easier for anyone not hauling anything heavy. The old spring over approach pulls the wheels forward the needed 2". Simply but carefully grind off rear spring perche rivots, Knock out old rivots. Drill holes in perches to 1/2" (my personnal preference). Flip hangers upside down and relocate on opposite sides. Mark and drill new holes allowing 5-10 degree negative hanger angle to the spring. Bolt down with grade 8 (1/2") and go.
This eliminates the factory 3" +/- block on the rear spring and tremendously lowers the possibility of wheel hop and spring bending due to less axle leverage. But the only downside is that the design isn't the best setup to haul heavy loads due to possibility of side-to-side wear on the hangers and the strain on the perches are opposite than how FoMoCo designed them. But the perches are pretty stout and should be able to accept the opposite loads. I have never had a problem for what it's worth?
But I see this as an excellent option for a daily driver that will not see loads greater than say 500 pounds. The drive shaft will likely need shortened a tad as well.

This is in regards to putting a bumpside body on a dentside chassis?

Would if you kept the block have an additional 3 in of lift then? plus centerd wheels
